KIDS ACADEMY APP REVIEW

REVIEW: KIDS ACADEMY LEARNING APP

I had the opportunity to review three apps for Kids Academy.  Kids Academy is a creator of educational children's mobile apps.  All three were wonderful and very well designed.  They all had bright, attractive graphics and catchy music.

The first app I reviewed was the Preschool Kindergarten Learning app.
This app has a section that teaches childrent to trace numbers.  The child will trace along the dots to collect fireflies to make the numbers.  This is great for teaching children the hand movement for writing their numbers!!  The next section is an alphabet section  that will help teach your child the sound that each letter makes.  For example, on the screen for the letter A, ther is an anchor, an alligator, and an apple.  When your child touches each object, the app says the word and it emphasizes the beginning sound.  This will help your child with their reading skills!  The third section is tracing letters.  Your child will start out connecting a dot and a star with a line inside of a bubble letter.  They will then write the letter without the lines, but it is still inside of the bubble letter so they still have some type of guide to go by.  This is very fun and educational for kids.  The graphics are cute too.

The second app I reviewed for Kids Academy was ABC's Alphabet Phonics & Montessori.  I love that this is bas on the Montessori learning method!  Every child learns differently.  This app has a section that will teach your child to do mazes.  Your child drags a dog bone through the maze to the "prize" and the dog will follow the bone.  It is really cute and entertaining!  The next section is a rhyming maze section that will help your child match words that rhyme.  It's the same idea as the section above.  The dog has an idea bubble by his head with a picture of something in it, for example a pen.  Your child will drag the dog bone through the maze to the picture that rhymes with pen, which in this example was a picture of a hen.

The last app was Bingo ABCs alphabet phonics song with farm animals cards for toddler.  This is a really fun app that has cute written all over it!  The characters and graphics are very cute and the bright colors are appealing.  While the song plays, the letters B-I-N-G-O come up on the screen for your child.  There is a different scene for each verse, that is inter active.  For the first scene, you are on a farm and you are able to place little flower stickers in different areas, you can touch Bingo and he barks, and you can touch the ducks to make them walk and quack.  With this free version, you are only able to experience two interactive scenes of BINGO.  However if you download the full version you get access to farm animal cards,  you get to record your child singing, sing karaoke, and there are other fun surprises to discover.
